Assistant Manager As part of the Subway® Team, you are an Assistant Manager focused on seven main responsibilities: Providing an excellent guest experience Ensuring that great food is prepared and served Keeping our restaurants functional, clean and beautiful Controlling inventory Scheduling and supervising staff Maintaining standards of restaurant safety and security Being a team player In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day‑to‑day include: Managing a staff of 4–12 including assigning and evaluating work Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in the restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed Benefits As a Subway® Team Member, you’ll have access to the following: Brand partnership discounts Scholarship opportunities Opportunity to earn university course credits Hands‑on career experience in a restaurant business Prerequisites Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience. Essential Functions Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable. Physical requirements Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally. Training Training on roles and responsibilities will be provided. Full‑time/Part‑time and Day/Evening/Weekend shift positions vary by location.
