It is an exciting time; our biotech company is growing quickly and needs the best team members to join us.The Clinical Specialist, I will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities at Sanguines Los Angeles, CA Donor center. This role will take on a range of responsibilities including but not limited to assisting with administrative site duties, registering, screening, scheduling, and collecting specimens from donors. This role will report to the Manager of the LA Donor center. Successful candidates for this role will thrive in fast paced environments, be able to multitask, provide excellent customer service, and have excellent clinical skills.Primary Responsibilities:Welcome, register, and check in donors upon arrival.Qualify prospective donors via phone and in-person interactions.Ensure donors receive timely information, education, and support throughout their visit.Perform specimen collection procedures, including venipuncture and other collection activities as permitted by scope of practice.Obtain and document donor vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and other required measurements.Conduct donor screening activities, including medical history questionnaires and eligibility assessments.Own pre collection preparation for all collection typesPrepare donors for apheresis and other collection procedures by explaining processes, addressing questions or concerns.Monitor donor well-being during procedures and promptly communicate concerns or observations to licensed clinical staff.Assist with documenting donor symptoms, observations, and procedure-related information accurately and completely.Prepare examination and collection areas and assist practitioners and nursing staff with donor care activities.Gather, verify, and enter donor information accurately into company systems.Facilitate collection and management of required documentation, including but not limited to informed consent forms, medical authorizations, W-9s, and other study-related documents.Answer and manage incoming calls and donor inquiries.Assist with scheduling donor appointments and coordinating donor visits.Support daily donor center operations and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth workflows and an exceptional donor experience.Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Coordinate and facilitate shipment logistics for specialty product collections, ensuring timely pickup, tracking, delivery, and compliance with study protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Provide administrative and operational support to the Biospecimen Operations team, assisting with projects, documentation, reporting, and other departmental initiatives as assigned by Site Manager.Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and quality control procedures.Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.Clean, disinfect, and reprocess equipment and supplies according to established procedures and department guidelines.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering or replenishment of clinical, operational, and donor comfort supplies.Ensure site is fully stocked and prepared before each appointment.Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage and supply areas.Coordinate equipment maintenance and report operational issues as needed.Assist with facility quality logs based on site needsPosition Requirements:· Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Phlebotomy certification.· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.· Experience performing venipuncture and obtaining vital signs.· Strong commitment to donor safety, donor care, and customer service.· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.· Strong verbal and written communication skills.· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.Working Conditions: Schedule is Sunday through Tuesday 530a-530p PST*Subject to change based on business need*Sanguine Biosciences is proud to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, age, national origin, physical or mental disability, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other protected classification.
