Program Manager Community Resources For Justice, Inc. (CRJ) is located in Stoughton, Massachusetts, United States. CRJ is a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing lives and strengthening communities through direct service, advocacy, and innovation. CRJ operates across four core service lines: Community Strategies (CS) : Supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live independently and thrive in their communities. Services include residential and non‑residential programs for men and women with intellectual or developmental disabilities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with a focus on independence, life skills, job development, and educational opportunities. Reentry Services (RS) : Supporting people leaving incarceration to make positive, sustainable life transitions. The division delivers contemporary, evidence‑based services and collaborates with community agencies to support safe and successful reintegration. Crime & Justice Institute (CJI) : Driving transformative improvements across adult and youth justice systems by working with local, state, and national criminal justice organizations. The team brings experience in evidence‑based policy, data‑driven decisions, stakeholder management, and systems‑level change. Family Reentry (FRE) : Addressing intertwined issues of behavioral health, domestic violence, reentry, recidivism, and youth risk by offering evidence‑based interventions and holistic support. Job Summary: Supervise the delivery of high‑quality residential services to individuals receiving support from Community Strategies in Massachusetts, fostering an agency‑wide culture of operational excellence through leadership in Community Strategies. Functional Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise daily residential and program activities, including staff supervision, residence maintenance, and instruction of personal care for consumers. Ensure high‑quality residential services for all individuals within a team‑management approach. Apply Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS) principles in work with individuals and staff. Represent CRJ/CS in meetings with stakeholders, including funders, families, guardians, regulatory committees, and agencies. Hire, train, supervise, and manage performance of program operations staff, focusing on Residential Directors. Provide on‑call support evenings and weekends for group homes in collaboration with the Residential Director, Clinical Department, and Nursing Department. Organize and facilitate community integration opportunities in leisure and vocational areas for all consumers, maintaining open communication with families, service coordinators, and external departments. Help consumers develop confidence and accountability to societal rules and program structure. Ensure proper documentation of individual care in HCSIS and Electronic Medical Records, training staff in information handling. Manage program funds and supervise personal finances for each individual. Implement policies and procedures consistent with Massachusetts regulations and CRJ agency practice. Utilize available therapeutic means tailored to each client’s individual needs. Execute behavior plans, ISP objectives, ADL’s, and recreational activities. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing supervision to all staff. Maintain complete and appropriate individual records per Department of Developmental Services and CRJ regulations and policies. Carry out duties in a supportive, professional manner and attend required meetings. Perform other job‑related projects and activities as requested or directed. Addendum: Based on the specific needs of individuals supported in each home, the Program Manager may assume additional responsibilities. Current designations include Stabilization , Behavioral , and Medical . Additional duties will be outlined by the Residential Director in accordance with the contract or service agreement for that location. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (preferred). At least two years of management experience in Human Services (preferred). At least three years of experience with DD or ID populations; management experience preferred. Bilingual, bicultural (encouraged). Prior experience in residential treatment and/or community‑based group homes (preferred). Excellent writing skills, including detailed reporting. Excellent expressive language skills in 1:1 and group settings, with the ability to adapt presentations to listeners’ receptive abilities. Excellent receptive language skills, actively listening to speakers of varying competence. Ability to develop and maintain constructive, cooperative working relationships. Effective teamwork with supervisors, peers, managers, and staff. Professional representation of CRJ when interacting with funding sources, guardians, families, and stakeholders. Use of appropriate conflict resolution techniques. Awareness of the importance of diversity. Ability to pass First Aid, CPR, PABC, and all training required by Residential Counselors. Physical Demands: Sitting for extended periods, speaking, climbing stairs, periodic light lifting, and traveling throughout New England. Working Conditions: Primary work at individual group home locations in Massachusetts with occasional travel to other programs across the state. Conditions are typical of home environments, with potential exposure to behavioral episodes. Travel to administrative offices in Shirley is required.
