Experience: Minimum of 1 year, including inpatient experience
License: BLS
Certifications: ARRT - MR (ARMRIT not accepted)
Must-Have: IV skills, EPIC experience
Description:
The MRI Technologist will work in a facility with 96 licensed beds.
The department has one MRI room and sees an average of 15-17 patients on weekdays and 10-12 on weekends.
The patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases.
The department primarily handles outpatient volume, with some emergency and inpatient cases scattered throughout the day.
Common studies conducted include significant volumes of brain, orthopedic, and spine imaging.
Experience with IV administration is required.
The department currently does not scan patients with pacemakers.
On-site supervision and support are provided by a lead tech and scheduler during the day.
Transport services are available during the day, with a dedicated tech extender on weekends.
Radiologists are available both onsite and virtually, with emergency department physicians managing contrast reactions when radiologists are not present.
Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records is a requirement.
The team-oriented culture values collaboration and mutual support.
The uniform color for this position is black.
