The Nevada Community School District is looking for our next District Technology Support Specialist!

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

Title: Technology Support Specialist Supervisor: Technology Integration & Communications Coordinator and Technology Support Coordinator Contract Duration: 12-month, Salaried

Overall Objective:

• Under the direction of the Technology Integration and Communications Coordinator and the Technology Support Coordinator, this position
• provides Tier 1 technical support to school staff and students, acting asa first line of support for technology items within the district. Assist Technology Department in the smooth and efficient operation of technology resources.

Essential Functions:

• Identify and prioritize tickets based on the issue reported
• Provide support in a quick and timely manner as to minimize impact of disruption of instruction/learning
• Track all work in the support ticket system, provide excellent communication to
• end-user of ticket progress/status via ticket system
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and repair if necessary
• Operate, configure, and fix streaming and AV equipment
• Manage Tope Auditorium, Gates Hall spaces including booking, renter correspondence, technical setup, invoicing, and repair
• Manage district copier and printers, and assist managed print contractors in event of printer repairs
• Provide training to staff, students on technology items
• Possess effective interpersonal skills to work with district staff and students
• Provide support to students and staff with district issued software and hardware
• Assist and be on-call for technology used by district outside of school hours
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Technology Integration and Communications Coordinator and the Technology Support Coordinator
• Recognizing that circumstances may change in regards to normal working hours, additional hours may need to be spent outside of the normal working schedule or as instructed by the Technology Integration and Communications Coordinator and the Technology Support Coordinator

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum 2 Year technical degree or related experience
• Previous Technology Experience (Educational setting is preferred)
• Understand electronics and acoustics, and be able to operate, configure, and fix AV equipment. This can include cameras, microphones, projectors, stage lights,
• computers, and recording devices
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to function within the framework of a school environment
• Knowledge of Macintosh, PC platforms; Chrome platform preferred
• Valid Iowa Driver's License
