Job Title: Kitter

Overview Summary

Summit Staffing is seeking a Kitter to support production and materials operations at a leading manufacturing facility in Roanoke, TX. In this role, you’ll be responsible for gathering, organizing, and preparing parts and materials needed for production while maintaining accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Type: TTH

Shift: 1st Shift; Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Pay: $19.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and organize parts and materials according to production requirements.
• Prepare kits of components for assembly and manufacturing operations.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, and materials for accuracy.
• Maintain organized inventory and ensure materials are properly labeled and stored.
• Use computer systems and inventory tracking systems to record material movements.
• Identify shortages, damaged parts, or discrepancies and communicate issues to the appropriate team.
• Operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts as required.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work closely with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Meet established production, quality, and safety standards.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in kitting, warehouse, manufacturing, material handling, or production preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Previous manufacturing or automotive-related experience.
• Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment experience.
• Experience working with production kits, components, or assembly parts.

Work Environment

• 1st shift position.
• Fast-paced manufacturing and production environment.
• Hands-on work involving parts, components, and materials.
• Requires adherence to workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• May require standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.
