Job Position: Welder

Location: Duncan, SC 29334

Pay Range: $21.00/hr- $25.00/hr

Shift: 1st

Description:
• Ability to read manufacturing weld blueprints
• Knowledge of welding machine set up for proper penetration through a wide range of metals
• Knowledgeable in performing horizontal & vertical welding operations on a wide range of metals
• Knowledge of Surface Grinders
• Possess the knowledge of commonly used manufacturing tools such as torque wrenches, screwdrivers, cordless drills, air grinders, socket wrenches
• Knowledge of precision instruments (calipers, dial indicators, protractors)
• Ability to lift and carry assembly materials such as aluminum panels, automotive components, and other items as requested/needed for product assembly and disassembly
• Individual must always maintain a constant focus on safety and not put others at risk while at the facility or representing the company. Must constantly maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area.
• Individual must be able to function cordially in a team environment showing respect for teammates as well as the leadership team.
• Individual must maintain a high level of quality while meeting productivity goals
• Individual must display the willingness to improve his/her skill set and be willing to cross train in other areas.
• FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Execute weld and metal working task most effectively in regards to time, cost, and function
• Display top-notched work performance and craftsmanship in all aspects of work duties • Individual must be willing to help in all areas of the shop as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma Required or High School Equivalent
• 2+ years of welding experience
• Basic understanding of reading blueprints, symbols and procedures
• Has passed the following qualification testing EXCEPT aluminum, GTAW and 3G (WPS 101,102,103,04,110,113, and maybe 116)
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols and welding equipment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
