Renaissance Village LLC is looking for a passionate and nurturing After School Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team in New York, NY! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children during their most formative years. - Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate after school activities for preschool-aged children
- Supervise and engage children in structured play, arts and crafts, and educational activities
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development in a nurturing environment
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom setting
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during pick-up and drop-off
- Help manage daily routines including snack time, transitions, and rest periods
- Assist in monitoring and documenting children's progress and behavior
- Prior experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups preferred
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of children
