About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 10 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: SC license or Compact license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Epic experience - Med/Surg, MS/Tele skills Description: Position is for a Medical Surgical RN. The contract duration is 10 weeks. Shifts are scheduled for 4 nights per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The typical patient to nurse ratio is 1:6, with a potential flex to 1:7 in case of unplanned absences. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. On-call duties may be required on a prn basis for low census. Travelers may need to float within scope to meet facility needs. Experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred. Candidates should have previous experience in patient care and telemetry. All candidates must possess a valid nursing license prior to the start of the assignment. BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS are preferred. Familiarity with various medical procedures and equipment management is crucial. Candidates should be prepared to manage a diversity of patient diagnoses typical of adult medical-surgical care. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Compliance with specific requirements and documentation will be necessary prior to the commencement of the contract.
