Contractor - Talent Acquisition Partner - Early Careers

The Talent Acquisition Partner - Early Careers serves as a strategic talent advisor responsible for attracting, engaging, and hiring emerging talent across Johnson Controls' internship, co-op, and early career programs. In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders, hiring managers, HR teams, and university partners to deliver innovative talent strategies that build diverse pipelines and support future workforce needs.

Based out of Johnson Controls Headquarters in Glendale, Wisconsin, this position is a remote role within the United States and may require periodic travel for campus recruiting events, career fairs, intern programming, and business partner meetings.

As a member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will help shape the future workforce by driving best-in-class candidate experiences, executing university recruiting strategies, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process.

Lead full-cycle recruitment for intern, co-op, and early careers full-time hiring across multiple business functions.

Build and maintain relationships with universities, student organizations, faculty, and career services teams to strengthen talent pipelines.

Partner with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies, define candidate profiles, and execute effective selection processes.

Represent Johnson Controls at career fairs, campus events, information sessions, and networking programs.

Manage candidates through the recruiting process while ensuring timely communication and a positive experience.

Leverage recruiting data and market insights to improve hiring outcomes and support workforce planning.

Support employer branding initiatives and early talent programs that enhance Johnson Controls' presence on campus.

Ensure recruiting activities comply with employment laws, company policies, and hiring best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Human Resources or a related function, including Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Total Rewards, Talent Management, People Operations, Employee Experience, or other HR disciplines.

Experience supporting recruiting, talent acquisition, campus recruiting, university relations, internship programs, or workforce planning activities.

Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to influence and consult with hiring managers and business partners.

Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting internship, co-op, new graduate, or early career hiring programs.

Experience building relationships with universities, colleges, student organizations, or career services offices.

Experience planning and executing recruiting events, career fairs, or employer branding initiatives.

Familiarity with Workday
