The Charge Nurse RN Nights plays a vital role in advancing clinical excellence within a respected community-focused hospital. Night Shift Nursing Supervisor will provide leadership within a small, community-focused rural hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including Emergency Department care, Medical Surgical nursing, Obstetrics and Labor & Delivery, Surgical Services, Diagnostic Imaging, and Rehabilitation. The Evening Charge RN supports coordinated care across Acute Care, Med-Surg, and OB units, ensuring seamless collaboration between departments during overnight hours. This intimate hospital environment allows the RN Clinical Lead Nights to build meaningful relationships with patients and families while delivering personalized, high-quality nursing care. With 24/7 emergency services and a broad range of specialties, the facility balances advanced capabilities with the warmth of community healthcare. OB experience is preferred; however, on-the-job training is offered and staff RNs are welcome to apply. The Charge Nurse RN Nights thrives in a setting where teamwork and patient-centered care define every shift. RN Night Supervisor reports directly to Nursing Leadership and serves as the clinical leader on duty during 12-hour night shifts , providing supervision and operational oversight for nursing staff across departments. The Night Shift Charge Registered Nurse collaborates closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, surgical teams, obstetrics providers, and ancillary departments to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery. Responsibilities include coordinating admissions and discharges, administering medications and treatments, supporting OB deliveries and urgent clinical situations, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Supported by friendly, experienced nurses and a diverse interdisciplinary healthcare team, the Overnight Charge RN fosters a positive work culture grounded in accountability and teamwork. This nursing leadership role blends hands-on patient care with supervisory responsibilities in an engaging night shift position.
