Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients on the Medical-Surgical unit, focused on post-surgical recovery
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer prescribed medications, and document in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Manage IV pumps, IV therapy, enteral feeding support (N/G tubes, feeding tubes), wound care, and basic post-operative care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, coordinate discharge planning, and provide patient and family education
- Adhere to unit protocols, safety and infection control practices, and respond promptly to clinical changes; float to cover unit needs as required

Requirements
- Active New York RN license; license verification (NURSYS) showing active status and all active RN licenses
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience; travel experience required
- EMR experience required; Epic preferred
- RTO (requested time off) must be included at time of submission
- Ability to work nights on a 2x3 schedule in a hospital Med/Surg setting
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure in NY
