Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nursing)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing and will be required to work with a diverse patient population across all age groups.

Unit Information

Unit: Emergency Department
Number of Beds: 64 beds (2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 CDU, 6 psych)
Patient Demographics: Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatric
Common Patient Diagnoses: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Specialty Equipment: Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Emergency Department. Key responsibilities include:

Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitoring and documenting patients' vital signs and clinical status.
Providing education and support to patients and their families.
Participating in float assignments as required.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse with a valid and active license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with pediatric experience preferred.
Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
Skills checklist corresponding to specialty required.
Demonstrated travel nursing experience is essential.
Charge capability is highly preferred.

Additional Information

The Registered Nurse will be assigned to the evening shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to different units within the facility may be required.
