Operating Room Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate should be experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position includes responsibilities in various surgical specialties, focusing on providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Shift Information

Days: Tuesday to Friday
Hours: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
On-call Requirements: 1 night a week and every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
Scrub in and participate actively as part of the surgical team.
Maintain a sterile environment to prevent any surgical site infections.
Provide patient assessments and implement care plans based on patient needs.
Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system (Cerner).

Qualifications

Valid RN Licensure
Current BLS and ACLS certification
Experience in Ortho, ENT, Plastics, General, Robotics, and Urology
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required
Ability to scrub during surgical procedures
Robotic experience is preferred

Additional Information

The role involves a 1:1 patient ratio, with a focus on delivering safe and effective care within a 6-bed operating room setting. Scrubs will be provided.
