About the Opportunity

The VET Recruiter is looking for a dynamic, creative, resourceful and highly organized Marketing & Business Development Specialist to join our team in Tulsa. This is a hands-on position with significant variety and visibility. You will work directly with our Founder/CEO and senior leadership to help execute marketing initiatives, manage our digital and social media presence, support business development, create professional marketing materials and presentations, coordinate publications and newsletters, and help grow several established brands serving the Animal Health industry and Veterinary profession.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership, manage multiple projects, generate ideas and turn those ideas into finished work. What You'll Do

Digital Marketing & Social Media

·Manage social media across multiple company brands, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other relevant platforms.

·Create, schedule and publish engaging social media content and develop graphics using Canva or similar tools.

·Assist with email marketing campaigns, website updates and other digital communications.

·Monitor engagement and marketing performance and recommend ways to improve results.

·Identify new ideas and opportunities to increase brand awareness, audience engagement and business opportunities.

Content, Newsletters & Publications

·Coordinate and help prepare company newsletters and email communications.

· Help manage the production and promotion of Animal Health News and Views, our Animal Health and Veterinary industry publication, including content, advertising, deadlines and other publication needs.

· Write and edit marketing copy for websites, emails, social media, articles, advertisements and other communications.

· Proofread materials to ensure they are accurate, professional and consistent with our brands.

· Assist with blogs, articles, surveys, reports and other content projects.

Strong writing, editing, grammar and proofreading skills are important to success in this position.

Business Development & Client Support

·Prepare professional client proposals, sales presentations and marketing materials for prospective and existing clients.

·Partner with leadership on business development and client-acquisition initiatives.

· Help develop marketing campaigns, sales funnels and lead-generation activities that create new business opportunities.

· Conduct research on prospective clients, companies, competitors and industry trends.

· Assist with prospect lists, email campaigns, reports, database projects and other business-development initiatives.

· Help identify new ways to market our services and reach prospective clients.

Presentations & Executive Marketing

· Create and edit professional PowerPoint presentations for the CEO and leadership team.

·Develop presentation slides, handouts, flyers and supporting materials for conferences, veterinary schools, webinars, workshops and speaking engagements.

·Work directly with the CEO to help expand her thought leadership within the Veterinary and Animal Health industries.

·Turn executive ideas and expertise into social media content, presentations, articles, email campaigns and other marketing assets.

· Maintain consistent company and executive branding across communication channels.

Events, Trade Shows, Veterinary Schools & Industry Outreach

·Help plan and prepare for veterinary and Animal Health industry trade shows, conferences, career fairs, veterinary school events and other company activities.

·Coordinate pre-event preparation, including presentations, marketing collateral, signage, promotional items, shipping, booth materials and other event needs.

· Help develop marketing and social media campaigns before, during and after events to maximize company visibility and follow-up opportunities.

·Travel to and represent the company at select trade shows, conferences, veterinary school events and other industry events several times per year, as needed.

·While attending events, assist with booth activities, networking, marketing initiatives, client and prospective-client interactions and other company needs.

· Assist with post-event follow-up, including organizing leads, communications, social media content and business-development opportunities.

·Assist with outreach and relationship-building with veterinary schools, including veterinary students, faculty, career services departments and other school contacts.

·Help coordinate The VET Recruiter's veterinary school marketing and outreach initiatives, including communications, marketing materials, career-related resources and event promotion.

·Work with and help coordinate our veterinary student representative(s), including regular communication, providing marketing materials and resources, supporting campus activities and helping them promote The VET Recruiter to veterinary students.

· Help identify opportunities to expand our relationships and visibility within veterinary schools and among veterinary students.

· Assist with outreach to veterinary schools, veterinary medical associations and other industry organizations, and support cooperative marketing or advertising opportunities with industry partners.

Brand, Market Intelligence & Marketing Operations

· Monitor competitors, industry developments, social media activity and marketing trends and bring useful ideas to leadership.

· Help strengthen and evolve our brands as the organization grows.

· Lead and help organize the weekly marketing meeting and keep priorities, deadlines and follow-up items moving.

·Manage assigned projects from concept through completion.

·Help with the continued development and marketing of other company initiatives.

· Maintain organized marketing files, processes and recurring project schedules and create procedures for important recurring responsibilities.

· Keep leadership informed of project status, priorities, deadlines and results.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

· Experience in marketing, digital marketing, communications, social media or a related position.

· Experience creating and managing professional social media content.

· Strong writing, editing, grammar and proofreading skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word and working knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

· Experience with Canva or a similar design platform.

· Ability to conduct effective online research.

· Strong organizational and project-management skills.

· Ability to learn new software and technology quickly.

Experience with WordPress, email marketing platforms, Agorapulse or other social media management tools, HubSpot, HootSuite, CRM or applicant tracking systems, SEO, analytics, graphic design, digital publications, professional services marketing, recruiting, professional services, executive search, Animal Health or Veterinary industries, conferences and trade shows is a plus.

Schedule, Location & Travel

This is a full-time, in-office position in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position requires occasional travel, generally several trips per year, to attend veterinary and Animal Health trade shows, conferences, veterinary school events and other industry activities. Some events may require overnight travel and occasional evening or weekend participation.

Additional Responsibilities

This is primarily a marketing and business development position. Because we are a collaborative, entrepreneurial organization, team members occasionally assist with administrative and office-related needs. These responsibilities are secondary to the position's primary focus on marketing, brand development, content, business development and company growth.
