Senior Instrument Engineering Technician

Senior Instrument Engineering Technician role supporting manufacturing of analytical instruments following BD's acquisition of Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions by Waters. Position involves process ownership, assembly, testing, troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across assigned production lines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as manufacturing process owner for assigned production lines, overseeing safety, delivery, quality, and cost
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot instrument production lines and resolve electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical system issues
• Train production operators on assembly, testing, and complex troubleshooting procedures
• Support process engineering activities including deviation documentation, quality notifications, and procedure validation
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities through feasibility testing and design collaboration

Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical engineering, electronics, or related field
• Expertise in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical instruments
• Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and software diagnostic tools
• Expert ability to read technical drawings and interpret dimensions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities for production associates
• Robotics experience preferred
