Excavator Operator

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Harvest, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have strong construction experience and be comfortable operating an excavator for underground utility work , including digging around existing/live utilities.

This position requires someone who is safety-conscious, dependable, and willing to work as part of a team. When needed, the operator must be willing to get off the machine and assist with general labor tasks.

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently operate an excavator on construction sites.
Perform excavation for underground utility installation and repair .
Dig carefully around existing/live utilities.
Follow job-site safety procedures and instructions.
Inspect the work area and equipment before operating.
Assist with general labor duties when needed.
Work cooperatively with other crew members to complete projects.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

5+ years of construction experience required.
Previous experience excavating for underground utilities required .
Experience digging around live/existing utilities required .
Proven experience operating an excavator.
Must have a valid ID .
Must have reliable transportation to and from work .
Must be willing to get off the machine and assist with labor duties when needed.
Must be dependable and safety-minded.
Drug test required before starting work.

Pay & Opportunity

$21–$23/hour , depending on experience.
Full-time opportunity available after 90 days based on performance and company needs.
