Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and satisfaction. You will be responsible for taking vital signs, rooming patients, and providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will greet and chaperone patients during their visits, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs of patients.

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.

• Provide excellent customer service and patient care.

• Greet and chaperone patients throughout their visit.

• Assist with patient education and internal medicine procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in medical assisting and phlebotomy.

• Experience with electronic health records and medical terminology.

• Strong knowledge of healthcare and patient care practices.

• Familiarity with pediatric care and blood pressure measurement.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a medical assisting role.

• Understanding of patient education and internal medicine.

Work Environment

The work environment is team-focused and family-oriented, emphasizing great patient care and outcomes. The clinic features an onsite lab. You will work closely with an assigned MD, handling both virtual and in-person visits. Patient demographics include all ages, with a focus on pediatrics. Visits are scheduled every 20 minutes, with a total of 24 patients daily. The team values autonomy and ensures that members feel appreciated, creating a supportive and non-micromanaged atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of Buellton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
