Job Description **Sign on Bonus Available**\n \n Department: \n \n Medical Surgical \n \n Schedule/Status: \n \nVaries; Full Time\n \n Standard Hours/Week: \n \n36\n \n General Description: \n \nUnder the supervision of the RN/LPN, the C.N.A. serves as partner in the care of patients for the purpose of fulfilling our shared mission "Healing Experiences For Everyone All The Time®". The C.N.A care partner is a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for performing multiple duties that require providing safe, quality, healing patient care. The position responds to patient requests and performs other nurse directed functions with clinical excellence, care and compassion; demonstrates competency in all procedures within scope of practice, as appropriate to the ages of the patients served. \n \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n Provides patients' personal hygiene by assisting with bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom or bedside commode; helping with showers and baths; changes linen and patient gowns. \n Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals; emptying trash. \n As directed by the RN, duties include, but are not limited to: \n \n Checking vital signs and daily weight \n Recording intake and output \n Apply skin barrier medicated creams \n Blood Glucose Testing \n Foley Removal \n Discontinuation of a Saline Lock \n Ice packs, heat treatments, etc. \n \n Observes and reports to primary nurse any symptoms or changes in patient condition. \n Accurately and timely documents patient care tasks into the electronic medical record. \n Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge process of patients. \n Assists in maintaining clean and tidy patient areas, equipment and work areas. \n Communicates effectively with co-workers, patients, families and other care team members. \n Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policy and procedures, federal, state and local requirements including the Joint Commission standards. \n Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining licensure and participating in quality mon. \n Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as pertains to the work area. \n Performs similar or related duties as assigned. \n \n Requirements: \n \n Formal Education: \n \n High School Diploma/GED required. \n \n Work Experience: \n \n Minimum of 1 year to \n Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations: \n \n Current State of Florida Nursing Assistant Certificate Required \n Current AHA BLS certification required. \n \n Full Time Benefits: \n \nEligible to participate in a number of PMC-sponsored benefits, including:\n \n• Annual Accrual of 152 Personal Leave Bank (PLB) Hours\n \n• Health, Dental and Vision Insurance\n \n• 403(b) Retirement Program\n \n• Tuition Reimbursement/Educational Assistance\n \n• EAP, Flex Spending, Accident, Critical and Other Applicable Benefits \n \n \n#PRG \n \n \n We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.\n \n \nParrish Healthcare is a caring community of healthcare professionals passionate about excellence and fulfilling our mission of providing Healing Experiences For Everyone All The Time®.\n \n \nParrish Healthcare has a Culture of Choice®.
