This role requires an RN with expertise in critical care, particularly in handling post-surgical and multi-system trauma patients. Key Responsibilities of the RN - SICU

• Provide patient care in a 13-bed SICU with a typical nurse to patient ratio of 1:2
• Manage drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin
• Collaborate with intensivists and leverage telemedicine support
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret telemetry strips
• Float to lower-care units as required, managing full patient teams

Requirements of the RN - SICU

• Active IL license or proof of license application process
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience in Level I trauma settings and ICU
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system
