A specialty independent pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to provide PRN coverage in Pennsylvania. This role offers the flexibility of scheduled, on-call shifts with advance notice, ideal for pharmacists looking to supplement their work schedule in a supportive, family-oriented environment.

Location: Pennsylvania (Bensalem area)

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure patient safety
• Provide pharmacist oversight of daily pharmacy operations
• Manage and support pharmacy technician staff to maintain workflow efficiency
• Assist with patient counseling when needed
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing; no disciplinary history
• Minimum of 2 years recent retail staff pharmacist experience
• Comfortable functioning in a busy independent or specialty pharmacy setting
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians preferred
• Experience with PioneerRx software is a plus

This ongoing PRN assignment typically requires coverage on specific dates with 1–2 months’ advance notice, allowing for planning and work-life balance. The pharmacy team currently consists of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working collaboratively to deliver excellent patient care.
