Job Description Job Description Assembly Technician Job Overview Company: Metals of Honor Location: Lake Mary, FL (On-site) Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: $16.00 – $18.00 / hour (Based on experience) Shift: First Shift (Daytime) Position Summary Join our precision metal fabrication and manufacturing team. You will perform mechanical assembly of sheet metal components, architectural systems, or specialized metal products. This role requires high attention to detail, structural safety compliance, and the ability to work from blueprints. Key Responsibilities Assemble Components: Fit, align, and secure sheet metal parts using hardware and fasteners. Read Blueprints: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering bills of materials (BOM). Hand & Power Tools: Operate pneumatic riveters, drills, grinders, torque wrenches, and hardware presses. Quality Inspection: Verify dimensional accuracy of finished assemblies using calipers and tape measures. Material Handling: Move raw materials and completed structures safely using overhead cranes or forklifts. Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow OSHA guidelines and PPE requirements. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1–3 years of mechanical assembly or sheet metal fabrication experience preferred. Technical Skills: Strong ability to read blueprints and basic mechanical drawings. Math Proficiency: Comfort with tape measures, fractions, and decimal conversions. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended 8-to-10-hour shifts. Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent trade school certification.
