James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN

HCA Healthcare is seeking a James Island ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN to support our Healthcare & Medical Services team in delivering exceptional, patient-centered emergency care. Based within our James Island Emergency Room, this role blends advanced clinical practice with frontline leadership, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients across the full spectrum of emergency conditions.

As the ER Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN, you will function as a working registered nurse while coordinating day-to-day clinical operations on your assigned shifts. You will oversee patient flow, triage priorities, and bed placement, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and an interdisciplinary team to support timely, evidence-based treatment. You will act as a clinical resource for complex or high-acuity cases, actively participate in traumas and code situations, and help maintain adherence to emergency care protocols and regulatory standards.

In this role, you will provide direct support and guidance to ER nurses and support staff, reinforcing best practices in assessment, medication administration, documentation, and infection prevention. You will assist with assigning staff, making real-time staffing adjustments based on volume and acuity, and help foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork. You will play a key role in onboarding and mentoring new team members, supporting their growth, and modeling the compassionate, patient-focused care that defines HCA Healthcare.
