Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Nuclear Surety Principal Systems Engineer (T03 level) / Sr Principal Engineer (T04 level). This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are protected against peacetime and wartime threats at all times.A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman on the Sentinel program will be provided the opportunity to:Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementationProvide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon systemParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systemsEvaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manualsInterface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systemsUse model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern designLearn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and MunitionsBasic Qualifications: This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04). Required for both levels:Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret Clearance.
