About This Role

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Teachers and Director in creating a nurturing environment for children and contributing to educational activities. Effective teamwork and communication are essential for this position. Teacher Assistants work closely with staff to develop strong relationships with children and their parents, while implementing engaging and developmentally appropriate activities under the direction of the Teacher and Director.

What You'll Do

• Assist teachers in planning and executing engaging curricula activities that encourage active participation from children.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and well-maintained classroom environment at all times.
• Model good hygiene and self-help behaviors to promote healthy habits in children.
• Help facilitate a smooth transition from home to the child care center each day.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
• Develop and maintain a professional development plan to continually improve the quality of care and education.

Requirements

• Ability to work well with others.
• An understanding of child development.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
• Will to do the Introduction class in the early childhood.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• SIDs/AHT training

Nice To Haves

Holding a degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
