Position Overview: At Shane's Rib Shack, we take pride in serving great food and creating an experience guests can count on. We are looking for dependable, hardworking, and experienced Kitchen Leads to help support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

As a Kitchen Lead, you'll help support shift operations while working alongside the Back of House Team to maintain food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and smooth day-to-day operations. This role works closely with management to help ensure recipes, portioning, food safety, and Shane's quality standards are consistently followed while supporting the kitchen team throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Kitchen Operations: Help support daily kitchen operations by assisting with shift flow, station setup, prep work, and maintaining efficiency throughout the shift. • Food Preparation & Quality: Prepare and oversee food preparation across stations including smoker, grill, steam table, fry, and prep while helping ensure food quality, consistency, and portion standards are met. • Team Support: Support and assist Back of House Team Members throughout the shift while helping maintain productivity, communication, and smooth kitchen operations. • Cleanliness & Food Safety: Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment while following food safety, sanitation, and health standards. • Opening & Closing Procedures: Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties, line checks, prep completion, and maintaining kitchen readiness throughout the shift.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Kitchen Operations: Previous kitchen, restaurant, or food service experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of fast-paced kitchen environments and food preparation standards. • Dependability & Initiative: Reliable, organized, and able to take initiative while helping support kitchen operations and Back of House Team Members throughout the shift. Candidates with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to lead by example are encouraged to apply. • Communication & Problem Solving: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management while staying organized, multitasking, and helping address shift needs in a fast-paced environment. • Physical Stamina: Capability to handle the physical demands of a kitchen environment, including standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and handling kitchen equipment safely. • Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of or willingness to learn health and safety standards applicable to food service.
