Hospital Laboratory Tech Medical Laboratory Technician (Chemistry Analyzer – Vitros 5600 Preferred) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our clinical laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience operating chemistry analyzers such as the Ortho Vitros 5600 or equivalent high‑throughput analyzers. This role is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory testing with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical chemistry testing using automated platforms (e.g., Vitros 5600 or equivalent systems) Ensure proper calibration, quality control, and maintenance of laboratory instruments Analyze, verify, and report patient test results in accordance with established protocols Troubleshoot analyzer issues and perform corrective actions as needed Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and infection control standards Accurately document all procedures, maintenance logs, and quality metrics Collaborate with laboratory staff and leadership to optimize workflow and turnaround times Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related science field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Associate of Science) Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical chemistry setting Experience operating automated analyzers (Vitros 5600 or equivalent platforms) Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and assurance practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field Certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) Direct experience with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Vitros systems Experience in high-volume laboratory environments Work Environment & Schedule Clinical laboratory setting; Rotating schedule. 6 days on, 7 days off.
