Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 4 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. 3D and 2D CAD design of automotive components and assemblies using Dassault 3DExperience or Catia V5. 2. Releasing automotive components and assemblies in Dassault 3DExperience or Enovia V5. 3. Solving cross functional vehicle integration problems for automotive products. 4. Documenting product architecture studies, attribute sensitivities, and architecture decisions in Atlassian Confluence and Jira. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Developing and delivering prototype parts for new automotive products. 2. Tracking, documenting, and resolving issues with Confluence or Jira.We are offering a salary of $189,530.00 - $207,288.84/yr. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that enable integrated vehicle systems, efficient manufacturing processes, and key styling themes. Develop and prototype concepts that improve product cost, mass, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience. Drive cross functional product architecture trades between vehicle subsystems (interiors, closures, chassis, thermal, powertrain, electrical distribution, etc.) to determine product direction. Identify and resolve geometrical incompatibilities between systems through first principles and concept 3D.
