Sr. Data AnalystApex Systems is a world class services business that incorporates industry insights and experience to deliver solutions that fulfill our clients’ digital visions.Apex has an opportunity for a Sr. Data Analyst to join our fast-paced Banking Industry client partner!Location: Remote (east coast, US)Term: 3+ MonthsJob Description:Creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc..)Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.Conducting ad-hoc analysis and deep dives into specific financial areas or projects.Collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial data from various sources.Required to have good knowledge of databases, data models, and data systems for financial analysis.Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security in financial databases and systems.Recommending process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance data analysis efficiency.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and financial markets, specially in Retail BankingProficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or ExcelFamiliarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.Additional Information:Professional certifications in finance domain or data domain would be added advantage.Continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and technologies are essential for success in this role.Experience Needed:5+ years of experienceMust have experience creating functional and technical documentation for data provisioning pipelines (i.e. Source to target mappings, Data environment diagrams, etc..)Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel.Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools.Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R is a plus.
