Design Engineer

Design Engineer Location: 365 Haacke Drive, Chestertown, MD 21620 Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 What You'll Do: Create parts, models, and layouts for new designs Create and revise drawings using SolidWorks Manage release of engineering documents using SolidWorks PDM Manage procurement or 3D printing of prototype parts Perform drawing checks for other designers/drafters in the department Oversee assembly and testing of engineering prototypes Interact with vendors to exchange information and collaborate on part design. Support Quality Assurance efforts with part inspections and supplier quality discussions Assist manufacturing operations through drawing support – interpret drawings and answer questions as necessary Assist with the development and maintenance of department SOPs What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science required 2-3 years of working in an engineering role including: Creating production drawings in SolidWorks Designing parts and assemblies in SolidWorks in a manufacturing environment Reading and interpreting industry specifications SolidWorks Certified preferred, but not required Strong technical problem-solving skills Excellent written and oral communication Detail oriented Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task Strong computer skills (Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications) Proficiency in SolidWorks, including PDM What We Offer: Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family Training opportunities Paid vacation, PTO, and holidays Gym reimbursements, and more!
