We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and personable Customer Service Representative (CSR) or Licensed Insurance Agent to join our growing team. This position will be primarily based in our Floyd County branch , but candidates should be willing to occasionally assist at other APPA Insurance locations when needed. Employer-required travel expenses will be covered by APPA Insurance.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with customers, able to manage multiple responsibilities, and willing to be flexible as the needs of the agency change.
Primary Responsibilities
As a CSR / Licensed Agent, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our agency and in providing excellent service to our customers. Responsibilities may include:

• Answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers with insurance-related questions and service needs
• Collecting and processing customer payments
• Gathering customer information needed to prepare insurance quotes
• Responding to customer emails and other communications in a timely and professional manner
• Completing and managing daily tasks assigned through our agency management system
• Assisting customers with policy changes, documentation, billing questions, and general service requests
• Communicating with insurance carriers when necessary to resolve customer or policy issues
• Maintaining accurate customer and policy information
• Following up with customers regarding outstanding information, documents, payments, or other service needs
• Assisting other APPA Insurance team members and branch locations when needed
• Performing other duties related to customer service and agency operations as assigned

• Has good computer and technology skills
• Can manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively
• Pays attention to detail and accurately handles customer and policy information
• Maintains a professional and positive attitude
• Is willing to learn and adapt as our agency continues to grow
• Is willing to occasionally travel to other APPA Insurance locations when needed
• Works well both independently and as part of a team
• Has previous experience in insurance, banking, lending, or another financial services role (preferred)

Experience & Licensing
Previous insurance experience is preferred but may not be required for the right candidate.
Candidates who currently hold a Property & Casualty insurance license are encouraged to apply. We are also interested in candidates with strong customer service experience who are willing to learn the insurance industry and obtain the appropriate licensing if required for their position.
Previous experience in banking, lending, or other financial services is considered a strong advantage. Candidates from these industries often have valuable experience working directly with customers, handling financial transactions and sensitive information, managing documentation, and explaining financial products or services.
We encourage applicants with this type of professional background to apply even if they do not currently have insurance experience.
Compensation may vary based on insurance experience, licensing, qualifications, and responsibilities.

Schedule & Location
This is a full-time position primarily based at APPA Insurance's Floyd County branch .
The employee should be willing to occasionally work from or travel to other APPA Insurance locations when business needs require. Travel required by the employer will be reimbursed or otherwise covered by APPA Insurance.
