Applications Analyst

This is a contingent position for an Intermediate level Application Analyst supporting the government client. The NTT Data team will support all facets of the program, including enterprise technology, systems integration, governance, architecture and engineering services as well as Application Development and Enterprise Project Management to further the goal of meeting the vision of a secure, standard based environment. Works collaboratively with users, the client and all other departments or groups, enterprise-wide, as necessary, in problem-solving issues. Duties will include: Overseeing and/or performing analysis of necessary application modifications and working with developers and teammates to coordinate software modification. Analyzing business needs and requirements. Interpreting end user requirements by fully discussing potential options and helping the client move towards an optimal solution. Evaluating operational workflows. Creating system specifications from user requirements. Assisting the System Integration Test team in creating test plans and testing new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications. Documents all outcomes of testing. Reviews lower level Application Analyst test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness. Updates system, operational, and department documentation. Recommends areas for process improvements. Work may also include developing foundational components for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) such as: architecture definition and guiding principles, governance structures and processes, and development tools and methodologies. The web services shall be designed to take advantage of native Cloud Computing environments but also be deployable and virtual machine environments.The successful candidate will have:US CitizenshipSecret Clearance or the ability to obtain one (Interim required to start)Excellent written and oral communication skills 5+ Years of experience Bachelor's Degree - High School Diploma + 8 years additional experience equals Bachelor’s Degree. 2 years experience for 1 year educationSecurity+ CE (Continuing Education)Computing Environment Certification in the area of support (e.g. RedHat, Java, MS Certified Engineer, etc.)Posting Date:Department: -
