Detailed Job Description:

Bank is looking for a highly experienced Software Configuration Manager / DevOps Lead to take ownership of and coordinate Configuration Management practices within the Accounting and Reporting Transformation (ART) initiative.

The role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, hands-on delivery capability, and strong leadership skills. to ensure quality, stability, and efficiency in complex IT deliveries.

You will be responsible for establishing and evolving Configuration Management processes, driving automation, and ensuring quality, traceability, and stability across a complex and business-critical transformation program.

We are looking for a senior professional with at least 10 years of experience within system development and IT (level D-E) who thrives in large-scale transformation initiatives and complex integration landscapes.

About ART (Accounting and Reporting Transformation)

Accounting and Reporting Transformation (ART) is one of Swedbank's strategic initiatives, aimed at modernizing and consolidating accounting capabilities currently distributed across multiple legacy platforms, into a modern cloud-based solution.

The initiative consists of multiple agile teams spanning technology, architecture, integration, testing, operations, and business process development, creating a highly collaborative and technically demanding environment.

Integration with other systems is ongoing, including both business application delivering accounting data (source systems) and downstream consumers of data.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, automation, and modern software delivery practices throughout the ART organization.

Lead and coordinate configuration management activities across multiple teams.

Build and develop frameworks that support teams in ensuring that changes, releases, and deployments always are implemented in a controlled, traceable, and auditable manner.

Define and manage configuration baselines, versioning strategies, release pipelines, and deployment processes.

Serve as a link between technology, project management, and business operations.

Ensure compliance with documentation, policies, and procedures.

Required skills:

Extensive experience as a Software Configuration Manager, DevOps Lead or similar role.

Solid technical background with experience in software development and IT infrastructure.

Solid experience in modern CM principles as Infrastructure as Code (IAC), CI/CD, etc.

Well familiar with commonly used IAC tools. I.e. Ansible and Terraform, etc.

Expert skills with Git and version control strategies, as for example branching patterns, etc.

Well familiar with CI-servers like for example Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, etc.

Solid programming/scripting skills from an automation perspective of software configuration management and deployment processing

Solid understanding of relational data bases and related concepts like views, triggers, constraints, SQL (not just queries and data manipulation, but also covering DDL, TCL, DCL), stored procedures, etc...

Solid scripting and automation skills in Bash and Python

Experience of leading on both strategic level as well as hands-on, to lead by example when required.

Experience from complex integration environments and large transformation programs.

Master's degree in information technology or related field, or corresponding work experience.
