Client Engagement Associate

The Client Engagement Associate serves as a liaison and ambassador between the clinical laboratory and its clients, including physician offices, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare partners. This role strengthens client relationships, supports service satisfaction, troubleshoots onsite issues, collects feedback, and promotes Primex services and new test offerings through proactive communication and account management. The Client Engagement Associate also functions as Primex’s on-the-ground representative, completing regular onsite visits, supporting onboarding and workflow education, and escalating account issues and operational concerns, as well as providing support to the Senior Client Engagement Manager. In addition to field presence, the role entails intermittent office administrative days and support. This role is well-suited for entry-level hires and may be structured as an intern/ambassador position with a path to full-time employment based on performance and business need. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with physician offices, clinics, hospitals, and healthcare providers through outreach and onsite presence. Conduct regular onsite visits to assigned accounts. Identify growth opportunities and refer new accounts to the Senior Client Engagement Manager (referral for internal follow-up, not commission-based). Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding test orders, specimen requirements, turnaround times (TAT), results reporting, supplies, and service concerns. Support Senior Client Engagement Manager with workflows and administrative tasks. Coordinate with laboratory operations, accessioning, logistics/courier, billing, IT, and other teams to address issues and follow through to resolution. Track and elevate operational issues (specimen collection errors, recurring TAT problems, courier/logistics issues) and follow through to closure. Support onboarding of new accounts onsite: verify specimen requirements, assist with EMR/EHR connectivity steps as applicable, confirm billing setup steps, and provide quick workflow/SOP guides. Educate client staff on laboratory services, new test offerings, compliance requirements, workflow improvements, and ordering/specimen best practices. Follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements at all times. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Life Sciences, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred (intern track: currently enrolled students welcomed) 0–2+ years of experience in clinical laboratory, healthcare operations, medical billing, client services, or related customer-facing roles (entry-level candidates with strong customer service skills encouraged to apply) Familiarity with medical terminology, laboratory workflows, and diagnostic testing concepts preferred. Comfort learning and using CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.); experience is a plus. Experience with LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and/or EHR/EMR integrations is a plus. Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and ability to travel across the assigned territory. Background check, HIPAA training, and confidentiality agreement required prior to client contact. Multilingual candidates strongly preferred. Priority languages include: Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Korean, Persian (Farsi), Armenian, Spanish, and Tagalog.
