As a Security Officer Visitor Management - Jail Control  in Punta Gorda, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and help maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue access credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and access logs.
• Control access to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to designated personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
