Social Work Supervisor (LCSW)

Position Summary As a member of our Social Services Department, the Social Work Supervisor (LCSW) assists social workers in managing crisis, responding to difficult situations, and tackling complex cases at patient care level. The role supports staff across multiple health centers within the Social Services umbrella, stationed at the flagship El Nuevo San Juan Community Health Center. The supervisor provides leadership, direct supervision, and clinical guidance to a team of Social Workers (MSW and LMSW levels) and works across departments such as Adult Medicine, Specialty, OB/GYN, and others. Onsite shift availability is required Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with options for one hybrid remote day per week and occasional Saturday coverage as needed. Responsibilities Assist social worker teams and management with handling crisis, complex cases, and medically and psychologically complex patients. Provide support and direction to SWs on issues related to abuse, neglect, domestic violence, financial exploitation, or other complex matters. Consult with providers on psychosocial issues related to patients (family, mental health, custody) as it relates to health. Assist the Senior Director of Social Services in reviewing cases and documentation per UHP and NASW standards. Provide clinical supervision to LMSWs within the social service department. Monitor and ensure patients' mental health and social service needs are addressed and connected with appropriate services. Directly see patients and families in need of support, crisis intervention, and assistance with urgent or crisis issues. Qualifications Master's Degree in Social Work required. NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. At least 2+ years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting required. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred to serve our patient population. Ability to handle complex patient needs. Ability to multi‑task and address complex or urgent mental health and psycho‑social issues. Leadership abilities to support and motivate staff members. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders, professionals, and peers. Compensation and Benefits Minimum Compensation: $90,000; Maximum: $100,000 plus benefits.
