Position Summary The Home Health Care Consultant models Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation, and promotes the Compassus philosophy using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. The consultant upholds the Code of Ethical Conduct and promotes positive working relationships within the company and with all departments and external stakeholders. Under the direction of the Home Health Area Market Executive and Growth Director, the consultant sources admissions through direct community contacts, educating healthcare providers and the general public about the home health program. Position Specific Responsibilities Provide accurate information regarding home health services in response to inquiries by healthcare providers and the general public. Collaborate with the Home Health Area Market Executive and Director of Growth to create a development plan aimed at educating healthcare providers and the public about the Home Health Program's benefits. Maintain current data on market area, competitors, and marketing strategies. Maintain an organized approach to territory management. Provide excellent service to the community while ensuring a balanced and sustainable mix of admissions. Prepare and conduct calls and presentations to potential referral sources. Participate in strategic planning and analysis for the assigned territory in conjunction with the Home Health agency business plan. Coordinate with clinical management staff in planning in‑services and presentations, and in addressing issues with referral sources. Participate in community and organizational programs as requested to promote professional growth and understanding of Home Health care. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a health‑related field strongly preferred. One (1) to two (2) years of related experience preferred; a combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience in healthcare marketing preferred. Skills Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Language skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties; strong written and verbal communication. Other skills and abilities: English proficiency; strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; ability to travel; proficiency in public relations and marketing; ability to work independently; strong negotiation skills. Physical Demands and Work Environment The demands of this role require regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
