Job Description: Job Summary__ Working under the direction of the Corporate Counsel, The Sr. Corporate Paralegal provides legal and administrative support for all commercial and employment transactional and litigation matters, compliance, and employee relations matters across the United States and Canada. This role partners closely with Legal, Operations leaders, Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Compliance to help manage a high-volume case load of active litigation and administrative agency complaints, coordinate litigation activities, maintain regulatory compliance, and support workplace investigations. The Corporate Paralegal is detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment. This individual will serve as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, outside counsel, and government agencies while helping to mitigate legal risk and support the organization’s people strategy. Key Job Responsibilities docketing active litigation and lease disputes; directing service of legal documents to appropriate channels; docketing court/agency deadlines; coordinating witness interviews; locating and gathering relevant evidence; attending mediations as a company representative; preparing document production and responses; filing and serving pleadings in small claims matters and with administrative agencies; coordinating with outside counsel to effectuate litigation strategy; and reviewing, categorizing, organizing, tracking and maintaining information and legal documents; and coordinating and delivering settlement payments and processing outside counsel and vendor invoices. Responding to Third-Party Requests: Assist Corporate Counsel with responding to subpoenas and employee personnel requests issued across multiple jurisdictions by: docketing response deadlines; gathering and preparing responsive documents and communications for production; and drafting and serving responses upon third-parties. Compliance & Regulatory Support: Assist with federal, state, and local employment compliance efforts, by: disseminating legal notices to appropriate channels; docketing compliance deadlines; assisting Corporate Counsel with gathering and preparing responsive documents and communications for production; reviewing, categorizing, organizing, tracking and maintaining information and legal documents; and filing responses and reports with applicable administrative agencies. Legal Documentation & Agreements: Prepare and maintain legal documents, including standard form leasing documentation, Subordination, Non-Disturbance, & Attornment, Right of First Refusal letters, estoppel certificates, release agreements,, separation agreements, settlement agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, legal correspondence, templates, notices, and other legal-related documentation with the assistance of Corporate Counsel. Employee Relations & Investigations Support: Partner with HR and Employee Relations to support workplace investigations, organize documentation, prepare timelines and summaries, maintain confidential files, and support matters involving complaints, policy violations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employee concerns. Cross-Functional Partnership, Special Projects and Administrative Support: Support Legal, HR, Compliance, Operations, Safety, and outside counsel on company-related initiatives, acquisitions, workforce changes, policy implementation, special projects and administrative responsibilities. Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong knowledge of federal and state civil procedure, including but not limited to, service of process requirements, discovery rules, and motion practice. Understanding of litigation life cycle, workplace investigations, and legal document management. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive legal and employee matters. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise legal correspondence, summaries, and reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and maintain large volumes of documentation and records. Ability to effectively partner with Legal, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Operations, and outside counsel. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, DocuSign, and document management systems. Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Paralegal experience in either a defense firm or insurance company is highly preferred. Paralegal certification from an accredited program preferred. Experience supporting a large multi-state employer with a distributed workforce (5,000+) preferred. Experience partnering with Human Resources and Employee Relations teams on workplace investigations and compliance matters preferred. Experience coordinating with outside counsel and managing litigation-related documentation preferred. Understanding of Workday HCM, Workday FM, and ADP. Certification as a Notary Public. Other RequirementsTravel, physical requirements, etc. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be required to support investigations, legal proceedings, training, meetings, or other business needs. Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while reviewing documents and performing computer-based work. Compensation Details: Expected Pay Range: $70,000.00 - 115,000.00 / Year Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
