Bartender

Hey Kiddo is a good + fun restaurant from Id Est Hospitality. Located on Tennyson St. in the Berkeley Neighborhood, our space offers three areas of service with different vibes and experiences, including a dine-in restaurant, a back bar for cocktails and karaoke called Ok Yeah, and a rooftop patio. We offer a dynamic menu in an energetic environment with playful, well-curated, sustainable beverage program.

 

We are seeking talented and experienced bartenders who are passionate about cocktails, sustainability, food and people! We are looking for candidates available for immediate hire. One year of prior bartending experience is required to be considered for this role. Bartenders will be Abe to perform the responsibilities of both bartender and server depending on the needs of the service. We pursue team members with a dedicated work ethic and a warm, hospitable demeanor. We are looking for well-presented, positive individuals who want to be part of a fun, fast-paced, team-oriented work environment!

 

The ideal candidates fit the following criteria:

 

• Knowledgeable and passionate about beverage trends, cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, beverage making, culinary pairing
• Ability to independently craft unique cocktail recipes
• A zero waste and ingredient cross utilization mindset; a mindset of seasonality in regards to cocktail making
• Excellent understanding of hospitality etiquette
• Ability to understand and execute proper steps of service
• Excellent organization and planning skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to fast-paced environments
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs
• Availability to work nights and weekends
• 1 yr+ of prior bartending experience
