Ōnin Staffing is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Dog. This role is responsible for moving semi-trailers within a distribution yard to ensure efficient loading and unloading operations. The ideal candidate has prior hauling experience, strong maneuvering skills, and is comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate yard tractors (yard dogs) to safely move and position trailers throughout the yard
• Spot trailers at designated dock doors for loading and unloading
• Hook and unhook trailers, ensuring proper and secure connections
• Perform daily yard checks and basic pre- and post-trip inspections of yard equipment
• Maintain yard organization, keeping lanes clear and operations flowing smoothly
• Assist with general yard or production duties as needed
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times

Skills and Experience:

Prior hauling experience required; candidates must successfully pass a road test. License: Valid driver's license required; CDL is not required. Skills: Strong backing and maneuvering skills. Ability to safely haul and position trailers within a yard environment. Ability to work independently and stay detail-oriented. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
