Location: Charlotte North Carolina

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift : 12hr Night Shift - 36 Shift Information : 1900-0700 Clinical Interviewing : Yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: EOW Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements: Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main + CMC Mercy + Levine Children's Hospital)

• Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:

• Beds: 32
• Average Census: 32

Minimum Years of Experience required : 18 months of Med/Tele exp

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Stroke, Seizure, AMS, generalized weakness, AKI/CKD, Falls, Cellulitis, Non-healing wounds

Patient Ratios:

• RN: Days/Nights: 1:5-6 - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
• LPN: Days/Nights: 1:5-6 - (surge staffing could increase ratios up to 1:7-8)
• CNA: Days/Nights 1:8-11

Required License , National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• CNA: BLS

Skills required:

• RN: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical skillset. EPIC experience required.
• CNA: acute care MedSurg experience

Support within the Department:

• CNA (Ratios – 1:12)
• Receptionist/HUC
• Charge nurse – free floating
• Phlebotomy, 24/7
• IV/VAT Team, 24/7
• Pharmacist dedicated to unit
• Case Manager x 2 per unit
• MedSurg Clinical Nurse Specialist
• RT 24/7 – will perform Nebulizer treatments
• Nurse Educator
• Hospitalist, 24/7
• APP support
• No remote Tele Monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shift

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC – experience required
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Med dispensing: Omnicell
• Monitors: Phillips
• Rover Communication

Floating:

• Within region and scope of practice
• Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
• Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main CMC Mercy Levine Children s Hospital)
• If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
