Senior Manager of Learning Strategy & Governance

Job Description

Summary:

The Senior Manager of Learning Strategy & Governance will be responsible for building and delivering a best-in-class training program for the firm’s business professionals. The firm is investing in the development of a robust, scalable learning program that supports performance, professional development, and consistent service excellence across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, launch, and continuously improve a firmwide training strategy and curriculum for business professionals (e.g., onboarding, core skills, management/leadership, and role-specific learning paths).
\n
• Conduct needs assessments using stakeholder input, performance/evaluation insights, employee feedback, and engagement/experience survey results to prioritize learning initiatives.
\n
• Develop and deliver engaging training experiences using blended formats (live virtual, in-person workshops, e-learning, and facilitated discussion guides), with an emphasis on practical application and reinforcement.
\n
• Partner with HR leadership, department chiefs, and subject-matter experts to create content that reflects firm priorities, standards, and culture.
\n
• Manage relationships with external vendors and learning platforms; evaluate content quality, utilization, and ROI; recommend improvements or new solutions as needed.
\n
• Create implementation plans, communications, and facilitator materials to support adoption across offices/departments.
\n
• Measure program effectiveness using participation, feedback, learning outcomes, and business impact metrics; provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
\n
• Maintain program documentation, calendars, and learning resources; ensure a consistent learner experience and high-quality execution.
\n
• Monitor current trends and best practices in training and professional development - implement new innovations, as appropriate, to ensure the firm’s efforts are innovative and cutting edge.
\n
• Uphold high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity, particularly with respect to all sensitive and/or confidential firm and client information to which this position will have access.
\n
• Owns this policy; chairs governance; sets standards; approves onboarding and delegated administration; keeps the roadmap and decision log; monitors results.
\n
• Partner with HRIS, IT Business Applications, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Compliance, Records, CLE, Professional Development, DE&I, Library, and other stakeholders on configuration, integrations, security, technical support, required training, reporting, and audit readiness.
\n
• Lead review of significant, major, and emergency LMS changes, ensuring appropriate impact assessment, testing, communications, approvals, documentation, and post-implementation review.
\n
• Coordinate LMS compliance, audit, and records activities, including reliable completion and administration records, traceable learner-record corrections, and documented exceptions with end and review dates.
\n
• Uphold high standards of confidentiality, discretion, and integrity, particularly with respect to all sensitive and/or confidential firm and client information to which this position will have access.
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Minimum of three years of relevant management experience in training, learning and development, talent development, HR, or a related function (professional services environment preferred).
\n
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale training programs—from needs assessment through design, delivery, and measurement.
\n
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences at multiple levels.
\n
• Experience developing learning content and materials (e-learning, job aids, facilitator guides, communications).
\n
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality.
\n
• Excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; proven ability to learn and administer learning platforms (LMS/e-learning tools).
\n
• Experience establishing and administering LMS governance, including content standards, role-based access, reporting, change management, and cross-functional decision-making.
\n
• Establish a clearly defined, enterprise approved set of LMS requirements that represent the needs of key business stakeholders.
\n
• Complete a structured, requirements driven evaluation process that produces a single recommended LMS platform.
\n
• A highly organized and self-directed approach to work with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Impeccable attention to detail.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n
• An undergraduate degree required.
\n

Status: Exempt

Reports To: Senior Director of Human Resources

Workplace Type: Hybrid

Salary range is $159,000 - $198,000 dependent on experience level and varies based on geography/ candidate location.
