Banking Center President (Full Time) - Research Blvd

Responsible for directing and administering the operational efforts of the branch. Ensures that established policies and procedures are followed. Oversees provision of a full range of services to customers and prospective customers. Ensures that customers are promptly and professionally served. Trains, directs, and supervises branch staff. Ensures quotas of branch transactions, loan volumes, expenses, and profitability are in line with Bank standards. Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and evaluating commercial loan requests. Meets with applicants to explain credit policies and to obtain loan information and documentation. Monitors and reviews construction and development loans. Maintains repossessed properties and assists in collections activities. Serves borrowers and prospective borrowers promptly and professionally. Provides general Bank information and cross sells services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Assumes responsibility for the effective and efficient performance of branch operations. Supervises work scheduling and workflow of daily routine operations. Ensures branch security and opens and closes the building in accordance with scheduled hours. Conducts tests of security equipment quarterly. Ensures that operations are conducted according to established Bank policies and all legal and regulatory requirements. Supervises and assists with customer service functions, including new accounts and teller line support. Cross-sells Bank services. Implements changes to established policies and procedures within the branch. Maintains proper cash controls and ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Assists tellers in resolving balancing problems. Controls and handles daily deposits in accordance with established policies and procedures. Verifies cash in possession of tellers and cash on the premises periodically. Ensures optimal performance through objective setting and communication. Conducts sales coaching with all branch personnel according to Prosperity Sales philosophy. Determines work methods and flow by assigning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing tasks. Conducts regular meetings with branch associates for training and updates. Conducts weekly meetings with branch management staff to coordinate upcoming activities. Provides training on all phases of jobs for new associates. Performs cross training as necessary and conducts security training. Determines appropriate staffing levels for efficient use of human resources. Tracks individual progress and conducts performance appraisals twice annually. Formulates and implements corrective actions as needed and recommends promotions. Provides leadership training for associates seeking management opportunities. Approves all sick leave, vacation, overtime, and time sheets and maintains accurate payroll and attendance records. Establishes and maintains professional business relations with customers. Responds promptly to customer requests and complaints. Provides counsel on customers' financial needs and services requested. Maintains and projects the Bank's quality reputation. Acquires new business through sales calls. Ensures branch operations are coordinated with accounting, loan processing, and credit functions. Manages and oversees expenses, pursues cost-saving measures, and seeks ways to improve operations and productivity. Prepares periodic branch activity reports and recommends improvements. Ensures proper maintenance and housekeeping of the building, grounds, work areas, desks, and equipment, including snow and ice removal. Ensures adequate supplies, forms, and equipment are available and institutes prudent safety measures. Informs management of branch activities, progress toward objectives, and significant problems. Requests assistance as necessary and fills in branch positions as needed. Attends assigned training sessions and stays current on new operational procedures. Manages commercial loan functions: interviews applicants, processes preliminary documentation, discusses loan alternatives, evaluates requests, prepares submissions to the Commercial Loan Committee, resolves credit issues, conducts property inspections, follow‑ups on matured loans, and assists in collecting delinquent accounts. Assists Commercial Lending personnel and provides support as needed. Attends and participates in committee meetings and serves on the Commercial Loan Committee. Completes required reports and records. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and manage the team through training, development, and coaching. Encourage high standards of performance and set challenging goals. Inspire associates to create new opportunities and continuously improve. Celebrate and reward significant achievements. Present logical and persuasive cases for proposals and positions. Assist the team in addressing individual strengths and development needs. PERFORMANCE MEASURES Efficient and effective delivery of branch services in accordance with policies and standards. Maintenance or expansion of current customer accounts and solicitation of additional accounts. Prompt resolution of customer questions and problems; strong business relationships with customers. Well‑trained and efficient branch personnel whose activities are well coordinated. Accurate, timely required reports and records. Improved efficiency and effectiveness in operations through suggestions. Positive working relationships with branch personnel. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION Associate degree in business or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and work experience. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE Thorough knowledge of Bank services and products. Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with Branch functions, policies, and procedures. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED At least five years of related experience in a financial institution. Minimum two years of supervisory experience. At least five years of lending experience. Commercial Lending experience required. Real estate and origination background preferred. SKILLS / ABILITIES REQUIRED Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills. Well organized. Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain an effective and efficient workflow. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, visual acuity, and minimal physical strength (sedentary work, occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.). WORKING CONDITIONS No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (typical office). MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS Reasoning, mathematics, and language abilities, as well as the ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports.
