Nursing Responsibilities Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients by providing the following: Administer medications Perform medical intakes and assess if patient is fit for incarceration, as needed Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed Check and or change medical dressings as required by the medical provider Perform 14‑day physicals Managing chronic care Providing patient education on health concerns Respond to medical emergencies Be capable of performing life‑saving measures and giving direction in an emergency. Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including but not limited to drug reaction or overdose, formulary or non‑formulary medications, and medication costs. Provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel as needed. Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations. Location Floating to various correctional facilities throughout the NW part of Indiana. Candidates must live in the state of Indiana or a neighboring state. Shift Opening(s) Availability for day shift and night shift. Travel accommodations are provided with potential for a company vehicle. Requirements Valid Indiana or Compact LPN or RN licensure. Valid CPR certification. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
