Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Industry Preference: Construction industry experience is a significant advantage.

Position Summary

The Order Desk Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring an exceptional customer experience through accurate order processing, product knowledge, sales support, and post-sale service. This position is responsible for managing customer orders, coordinating with internal teams, resolving inquiries, and supporting daily branch operations in a fast-paced showroom and warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience handling order entry, inventory support, and customer-facing responsibilities. Previous experience in the construction, building materials, or related industries is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently through computerized business systems.
• Provide professional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Assist customers with product information, availability, pricing, and order status.
• Coordinate with showroom, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Resolve customer concerns, discrepancies, and service issues effectively and professionally.
• Maintain current knowledge of products, services, and competitor offerings.
• Support sales activities and branch operations as needed.
• Balance daily order desk responsibilities while assisting with special projects and company initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records related to orders, inventory, and customer transactions.
• Operate a forklift when certified and required for business operations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer-based order entry systems and business software.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
• Knowledge of sales support, inventory management, and order processing procedures.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic mathematical skills, including calculations and measurements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
• Construction industry experience is a strong plus.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, and computer use.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in both office/showroom and warehouse environments.
• Occasional exposure to forklifts, outdoor conditions, and construction-related products and materials.

Work Environment

This position operates within a fast-paced showroom and warehouse setting that requires close collaboration across multiple departments. Success in this role depends on the ability to provide exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient order processing, effective communication, and timely order fulfillment.
