Also, provides relief supervision in the absence of the CS Supervisor. Actively participates in the inventory, filling and restocking of supply par areas on Nursing and/or Surgical units. Displays proficiency when using the Pyxis computerized restocking process; completes par level assignments in allocated amount of time. Practices stock rotation, removal of outdated supplies and cycle counting of supplies to ensure accuracy of counts. Receives and stocks supplies in Central Supply as assigned and/or as needed. Provides relief supervision in the absence of the Supervisor (Clinical Tech III). Trains and leads Clinical Tech I's in the proper restocking of nursing/surgical supply areas, maintenance of supply areas and Central Supply; ensures that daily work assignments are given and completed. Counsels employees and makes disciplinary recommendations to the Supervisor as needed. Trains all Clinical Tech I's in proper department procedures; documents training with all new employees; follows up to ensure employee competency and advises Supervisor on employee performance.
