Located in Denton, TX Salary: $24/hr Job Title: Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper Pay: Up to $24/hr per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Overview Express Employment Professionals of Denton County are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to support daily office operations and financial management. This role combines administrative coordination with bookkeeping responsibilities and requires strong multitasking, accuracy, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily administrative operations, including vendor and customer correspondence
- Maintain accurate and organized records and documentation
- Serve as a liaison between the lab, offices, and vendors for administrative and financial matters
- Assist with inventory tracking and maintenance
- Support HR functions and maintain employee records as needed
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process payments and maintain financial records
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Prepare and process monthly customer statements
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and account balances
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client accounts and case documentation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and general computer systems
- Experience with bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Avalara, or similar systems)
- Familiarity with office equipment (computers, scanners, printers, etc.)
- Proven experience in office management, bookkeeping, or administrative operations preferred
- A proactive, dependable team player
