Athletics StatisticianThe Athletics Statistician is responsible for recording live statistics at athletic events, serving as the official scorekeeper for both teams, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with league standards throughout each contest.Job Duties:Recording statistics as events happenAuditing stats with play-by-playPreparing final stats for league recordsServing as official scorekeeper for both teamsEntering computer dataPreparing final and mid-game summary reports for the mediaKeeping up to date on changes in statistical scoring rulesBeing involved in resolution of disputed callsMinimum Qualifications:Basic knowledge of each specific sportKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Ability to stay calm under pressureGood observation skillsA criminal background check is required.
