What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff visitors and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures policies and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points verify credentials and authorization maintain visitor entry records and direct individuals according to established facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents access-control concerns and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas interior spaces and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear accurate reports of incidents visitor activity access-control irregularities and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
