Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care

Full Time CNA (7.5 hours/day x 5 days/week - 37.5 hours) with day/evening shift rotations and required every other weekend/holiday.

Requirements

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
• BLS Certification (must be through AHA or RQI)
• 1-year minimum experience as a licensed CNA working in a long-term care setting
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs (hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care) per care plan.
• Maintain resident safety and environment (respond to call lights, use safety equipment, prevent falls).
• Support residents with meals (deliver trays, help with feeding, and honor food preferences).
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs (transfers, proper positioning).
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Help with resident social and emotional needs through interaction and companionship.
• Report resident concerns and changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner per protocol.
